St. Louis Rams Sign Tim Carter Again

According to the St. Louis Rams, they have once again signed Tim Carter to the roster after losing Gary Gibson for the year to an injury. Tim Carter has played 6 years in the NFL so he would easily be the Rams most experienced wide receiver. Carter has 80 receptions for 1084 yards and 4 touchdowns in his career. Carter a 2nd round draft pick of the New York Giants in 2002 has never really been a factor in the NFL. Carters best year was way back in 2003 when he managed 26 receptions. The Rams in need of playmakers are just trying to have enough warm bodies at WR to get through some games right now.

St. Louis Rams Injury Update

The St. Louis Rams went into their week 3 game against the Green Bay Packers relatively healthy, and with an 0-2 record. The Rams come out of that contest 0-3 and with a battered lineup. Laurent Robinson has fractured fibula which will require surgery. For Laurent his season is most likely over. James Butler has a 3rd degree MCL injury of the knee and will miss at least two weeks but mostly likely longer. Marc Bulger had the best news today as his rotator cuff is only bruised. If Marc can practice this week, there is a small shot he may be ready to play Sunday at San Francisco. Donnie Avery's ribs were not broken when he landed on the ball, he is sore but should be able to play Sunday. Now we will have to figure out what non-medical problem he is having with his hands. Several other starters are also nicked up. James Laurinaitis has a shoulder issue, both Ron Bartell and Gary Gibson have leg issues, David Vobara had a possible concussion and Jason Smith still has problems with his knee. Welcome to week 4 of the NFL where you can have 9 of your 22 starters banged up or out of action already. For an 0-3 Rams team with a ton of issues the bad news keeps piling up.
