2010 St. Louis Rams Strength of Schedule

The St. Louis Rams 2010 opponent list has been released. The dates and times of the games have yet to be released. As we all know the order of these games can make a huge difference to an NFL teams success. In 2009 the St. Louis Rams played 3 of their first 4 games on the road. In addition in their first 3 home games they faced Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning. Those 3 quarterbacks threw a total of 96 TD passes and finished within the top 6 in QB rating. The St. Louis Rams 2010 strength of schedule (SOS) is .449 and 31st overall, or the second easiest schedule in the NFL. Below are list of 2010 St. Louis Rams opponents:

HOME:

Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, & Washington Redskins

AWAY:

Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders & Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rams 2009 Season Begins Today!

Today is the start of the 2009 NFL season. At 6PM St. Louis time, the NFL will release the 2009 NFL schedule. Sometimes these schedules can make or break a team. Last year the St. Louis Rams started against the Philadelphia Eagles and the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants and never really recovered, as they started the season 0-4. This year the schedule can be just as important. I would like to start at home opening day against the San Francisco 49ers, then go on the road against the Detroit Lions and then back home against the Seattle Seahawks. Will we get that lucky, find out tonight at 6PM on the NFL Network, or check NFL.com. I would love to have a great start like 3-0, 3-0 in the conference, and 2-0 in the division. NFL teams can build a lot of momentum from great starts.

Stay tuned...

2008 St. Louis Rams Schedule - Freak Out

Well the 2008 St. Louis Rams Schedule has been released and it is causing a major panic on the internets. Why? These schedules are announced way in advance. Sure the order of the schedule seems tough with Philly, NYG, and Seattle all sitting there. However let's face it if we are going to be a playoff team you have to beat Seattle. Philly was 8-8 last year, and last April you would have had the Giants on your schedule and not said a word. Here is a heads up in 2009 we have to play the Colts. What will we do? I will tell you what we need to do, we need to improve and not worry about the schedule. Worry about can Bennett play as well as Bruce. Can Culberson a street free agent start 16 games at LB? Will Barron close his mouth and play some football in 2008? Will Linehan let Saunders re-create a steam rolling offense? These are our issues, not the schedule. We are 0-0 and so is everyone else.
